Letter to Clemmons
Dear Friends and Community,
As I reflect on the past five years, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the love and support you’ve shown my business. Your unwavering encouragement of small businesses and entrepreneurs is truly inspiring, and it’s one of the many reasons I am so proud to be part of this incredible community. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for believing in what we do and allowing us the privilege of being part of your lives.
I am also deeply grateful for the talented estheticians I collaborate with every day—especially Glo Skincare Studio, Skin Nerd, Refined by Audrey at Kefi & Kalon Salon Spa, Green Iris Esthetics, and Natural Bloom Esthetics. Their dedication to achieving real results, commitment to continued education, and genuine care for their clients make my work infinitely better. I’m equally humbled by the global community of scientists and artists who continue to innovate and push the boundaries of what’s possible in aesthetics. Advancements by those doing all the publishing and teaching worldwide have not only elevated our industry but have also provided us with powerful tools to help people look and feel their best while embracing aging with confidence and grace.
What moves me most, though, is the privilege of being part of your personal journeys. It’s a gift to witness how these treatments and products transform more than just appearances—they transform confidence, self-esteem, and even overall vitality. Time and again, you’ve shared how investing in yourself has improved your physical health, mental well-being, and how you see yourself in the mirror. This serves as a constant reminder that our work is about so much more than outward appearances—it’s about helping you feel your best in every aspect of your life.
However, as much as our industry has evolved, it’s also seen an increase in businesses that prioritize profits over people. These bad actors prey on confusion and vulnerability, using misleading sales tactics and unethical practices. As someone who has faced her own struggles with self-confidence and self-image, it breaks my heart to see others, especially women, being taken advantage of in such a personal and sensitive space.
One recent story in particular stays with me. A client came to me feeling self-conscious about her features after being drawn to a med spa offering a $299 lip filler promotion. (Not even the least expensive hyaluronic acid filler can be purchased by a practice for this amount!) By the time she left, she had spent over $1,800 on two "syringes of filler"—questionable in quality, actual quantity and likely diluted—and a "botox" product that raised even more concerns. Her lips deflated within a week, leaving them thinner and drier than before. Worse, she was left with frustration, wasted money, and a sense of betrayal. Hearing her story filled me with anger and sadness. No one should ever have to endure that kind of deception or harm.
This is why my personal mission remains rooted in honesty, safety, and empowerment. I collaborate with four other subspecialty-focused plastic surgeons at 6318 Jessie Lane in Clemmons, We are here to cut through the noise, guide you with transparency, and offer treatments that truly work, are safe, and appropriately priced. Your trust is the foundation of everything we do, and I promise to never take it for granted.
Thank you for allowing all of us to be part of your journey and for reminding me why I do what I do and fight the battles we have to fight. Together, we’ll continue to celebrate the confidence, health, and vitality that come from investing in yourself—and we’ll stand strong against anything that undermines that.
With gratitude,
Dr. Maryanne
Happy Thanksgiving
