What to expect after the procedure

• Immediate effects: 

  The skin may be pink, red, dry, or flaky for up to a week. Mild tingling or swelling is also common.

• Downtime: 

  Most patients can return to work and exercise the next day.

• Results: 

  Full results are typically visible within a few months as new collagen develops.

• Maintenance: 

  For optimal long-term results, maintenance sessions are often recommended every 6 to 12 months. 

   

Recovery and aftercare

• Initial recovery: 

  Expect redness, swelling, and tenderness. You may need pain medication, and it's important to keep the treated area moist and clean. 

• Healing time: 

  The duration depends on the depth of the treatment. Minimal treatments might take around 3-4 days to heal, while more extensive treatments will take longer. Strenuous activity should be avoided for 7-10 days. 

• Long-term care: 

  Protecting the skin from sun exposure is crucial after the procedure, so minimizing time outdoors and using sunscreen are essential. Your doctor may also have specific instructions on what skincare products to use or avoid.
